TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

General 

The following terms and conditions set out the legal rules applicable to the ESA-JRC International Summer School on GNSS 2018. Participants shall be bound by these terms and conditions upon registering for the summer school and are advised to read and understand these terms carefully before registering. The organizer will not accept any conditions contradictory to or deviant from these general terms and conditions.

Organizer
Responsible for the organization of the Conference is Em. Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Dr. h.c. Guenter W. Hein, Emeritus of Excellence, Universitaet der Bundeswehr Muenchen, Werner-Heisenberg-Weg 39, 85577 Neubiberg, Germany.

Registration
Registration to the Conference must be done through the registration form that can be downloaded in the section "Registration". Participants will receive an confirmation by the administration. Registration will only be effective on receipt of the registration fee. Please notify any corrections to your registration immediately.

Fees and Payment Conditions

Early registration fee, until May, 14 2019:

Euro 1.200,-* / Student Registration (Graduate students, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers at universities)

Euro 2.300,-* / Company Registration (Young engineers/academics in industry and agencies)

Late registration fee, as of May, 15 2019:

Euro 1.400,-* / Student Registration (Graduate students, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers at universities)

Euro 2.500,-* / Company Registration (Young engineers/academics in industry and agencies)

The registration fee includes participation in all lectures and demonstrations, lecture material, accommodation, full board and social events.

 

* VAT is applicable to companies registered in the Netherlands and Individuals. VAT is not applicable to companies which are holding an EU VAT number, International Organisations and companies located outside the EU.

The number of participants is limited to 50 - early registration is recommended (first come - first serve).

The registration fee includes participation in all lectures and demonstrations, lecture material, accommodation, full board and social events.

After your registration fee has arrived at our bank account you will receive an automatic e-mail message that the transaction was successful. All payments are made in Euro.

Cancellation
 

Fees for written cancellations received prior to May 31, 2019 are refundable less 150 €.  After June 1, 2019 there will be no refunds. The participant has the right to appoint a substitute at any time without additional costs.

All cancellations and changes must be submitted in written form - with indication of full name, invoice number and bank details for reimbursement - to: antje.tucci@esa-jrc-summerschool.org


The Organizer reserves the right to modify the content of the program, the lecturer and the times of lectures. If the number of participants is insufficient, the Organizer reserves the right to cancel the School and all related products and/or services without any liability on his part. In the case of a cancellation by the Organizer participants will be reimbursed the registration fee actually paid.
 

Liability
The Organizer does not accept liability for the up-to-dateness, correctness and completeness in respect to conference documentation and content.
The Organizer will not assume any responsibility whatsoever for any damage or injury to persons or property during the summer school.


Photographs
The organizer may free of charge and without the further consent of the participants use and release pictures, shots and videos taken of the participants and/or their works (such as posters, excerpts of presentations or lectures) during the event for reports of the event and announcement of events in future.

Privacy Policy
All personal data provided to the Organizer for registration will be treated as confidential. The data shall be used and stored for further processing and documentation purposes. The information will not be re-used for an incompatible purpose. Data shall be delivered to assigned service providers, as deemed necessary for the successful performance of the Conference. The Organizer will only disclose information to third parties if that is necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose(s) identified above.

Severability Clause
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.

Disputes
All agreements between the Organizer and the Participant and all disputes which may arise between the Organizer and the Participants shall be exclusively subject to Dutch law.
